Character Types and Species Empty
PostSubject: Character Types and Species   Character Types and Species EmptyMon 28 Mar - 3:56

These are the various strengths and weaknesses every character type has. If you can think of another category that you want your character to be, just post here with what you want to be and if it's not obvious, a little description of what it is along with what you think strengths and weaknesses should be.

Trainer: Trainers have an extra edge in battle. They are not very successful at breeding Pokemon, however, and have difficulty getting eggs.

Specialist: Specialists have an advantage when using their specialist type and an extra edge over any type their Pokemon is super effective against. When facing a Pokemon with a type that they are weak against or that is resistant to their type, they are at an extra disadvantage. They are slightly more successful in breeding than trainers when breeding their type.

Breeder: Breeders are more likely to have successful breedings and double eggs. They have a disadvantage in battles, however.

Gym Leader: They have a major advantage at their gym. They also gain an advantage outside their gym when one or more of their gym trainers is present. They have a disadvantage at any other gym. As far as breeding goes, they are slightly more successful than trainers. They can also teach moves to Pokemon.

Gym Trainer: They gain an advantage at their gym, or outside the gym when their gym leader is present. They are at a disadvantage at other gyms.

Researcher: They have poor battle skills and are average at breeding, but are more likely to encounter rare Pokemon species in the wild. They can also teach moves to Pokemon.

If/when we have teams, info will be added for them as well.

Since we allow non-human characters, here's a list of what's you can be. As you can see, not all of them have descriptions. This is because we're allowing the first member to join as a particular species determine the "rules" for said species. Want to join as a species but don't want to come up with the description? That's cool too, but either an admin or the next person to join will come up with it, so you'll have to go with whatever they say. Also, if you want any changes to a certain species, we may be willing to accommodate some of those requests as well.

Want a species that's not on here? Just post with a description and it will most likely be added. Just stick with humanoid things. Feel free to make something up too, but you'll also have to name the species in that case. I also think it might be best if we don't incorporate things from other universes - so no Twi'leks, Skrulls, Time Lords or other things from something else. So, either general fantasy/mythology type stuff or made up stuff.

Human: Not much to say here. Humans. Yay!

Shapeshifter: They have a human form and up to four other animal forms that they can shift into.

Angel: Includes Fallen Angels. Appear human, but usually larger with feathery wings and odd colored eyes are not unusual. Fallen angels can look identical, although they have a tendency to have darkening feathers but not always and some regular angels may also have darker feathers. Angels have healing abilities but fallen angels have weakened healing abilities, but they can also have weak control over an element (fire, water, earth, air, or lightning).

Vampire: [No sparkling!]

Demon:

Werewolf: [Feel free to extend definition to include those who turn into other animals]

Elf:
